Sangalgano 2016 had a troubled story.

Harvest 2016 was one of the best vintages ever and while the wine was stored in an external cellar for the final refinement in bottle, a new owner bought the cellar and literally kidnapped the wine. A long lawsuit has been filed by Nenni Toscana and finally, at the end of December 2020 it was possible for Nenni Toscana to retrieve the stolen wine. During this process, only 500 bottles survived. That’s why we called Sangalgano 2016 “Survivor Edition”.
